Establishing New Electric Service

To establish electric service, please visit one of our offices in Vinita or Grove or call our Member Service Department at 1-800-256-6405.

You may be required to pay a meter deposit. Meter deposits are based on the history of each location, and are calculated at 1/6 of the annual bill, which is a two month average bill.  Deposits may be waived under the following conditions:

 

  • Applicant is currently, or has been within the last 18 months, a member with good credit history of Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, Inc.
  •  

  • Applicant provides the cooperative a “good letter of credit” from a previous electric utility.
  •  

  • Applicant provides a “letter of guarantee” from an existing member with a good credit history.
  •  

  • Note: A good letter of credit, or good credit history is based on no more than three (3) late payments, no disconnects for non-payment, no returned checks, no tampered meters, and no unpaid final bills.

    The credit history must be based on twelve (12) months of service, and may be combined from two (2) or more utilities.

    Opening a Commercial Account

    Name

    CEO or President name and phone number
    Service address (meter number is helpful if an existing service)

    Building a New Home
